10 If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you (Romans 8).
How can a person really be changed from the inside out? When you think about it, it has to be the greatest power imaginable. Well, according to these verses, that unimaginable power that “raised Christ Jesus from the dead” is the very same power that “will also give life” to anyone in whom He dwells. This means, the power that brought life once again to the crucified-dead-and-buried Lamb of God — that very same power also brings life to any lamb following Him.
The power that made His heart start beating again — is the same power that turns our hearts of stone into hearts of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26); the power that caused His lungs to fill with air — is the same power that fills our fills us with His Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18); the power that caused Him to arise off the cold stone on which He was laid — is the same power that causes us to rise up and live for Him (Philippians 1:21); the power that brought once again a spark to bridge the neurological synapses in His brain — is the same power that renews our minds, causing us to have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16).
Lord, thank You for the unimaginable power that is working in our lives right now, and thank You that it will never stop working. Without it, we have no life at all. Help us to live This Day as truly Resurrection people. Amen.
