2 Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory (Colossians 3).
The greatest glory is not found on earth, but in heaven where the God of all glory lives. Any glory on earth pales in comparison. Verse three here is similar to what Paul wrote to another group of believers, saying how God “raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6). We are now “hidden with Christ in God” but one day will “be revealed with Him in glory.”
One day, when Christ Himself is revealed, we will be revealed as well, for we are inextricably bound to Him. This is His glory, for He Himself glories in this—that His revelation will mean the revelation of us His brethren, whom He purchased with His own blood. In heaven there will be no such thing as second-class citizens, for we will all exist in the glory of Christ Himself.
Lord, thank You for the glory we have in Christ Jesus. Help us This Day to show His glory through our lives. Amen.
