18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen (Galatians 6).
Paul began his letter with grace (1:3), and now he ends it here with grace. This is fitting because the beginning and end of everything having to do with God—is just this: grace. Apart from “the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ” we would understand nothing of God’s nature, feel nothing concerning His love, and do nothing for His pleasure and glory.
Grace is the very cornerstone of our spiritual foundation, as well as the capstone of the structure of our lives upon it. Without it we lie spiritually dead upon sinking sand midst a crumbling ruin: without life, without hope, without purpose.
Lord, thank You once again for Your grace in our lives! Help us This Day to live and walk in it. Amen.
